We make it easy for businesses to donate unwanted items to local charities. All using a simple app.

The idea is simple -- a business has something to spare: anything from a used laptop or some office furniture to surplus products.

A local charity has a need: they have the ideas and dedication but need the resources to make it happen.

We make the match!

The idea was simple: businesses are generating too much waste, while many charities are in need of more resources. What if we could connect the two? That's why we created A Good Thing.

We launched our pilot in 2021 in the Thames Valley area with some fantastic results, and we're now excited to be scaling the idea to charities and businesses right across the UK. We're currently working with over 200 businesses and nearly 1,000 charities all across the country and continue to grow daily.

Our Social and Environmental Activities

Our responsible activities currently include:

- A fully remote team.

- Meeting online first -- we think travel is unnecessary to make connections.

- Operating on a local level: our offers are made available to charities within a 20-mile radius to keep support local and to avoid unnecessary travelling.

- Are exploring ways businesses can use A Good Thing to manage their carbon footprints and scope three emissions.

- Exploring ways to use our work to become Net Zero.

- Being a member of 1% for the Planet.
