We live and breathe film at Blatella. Combining experience in the industry and training in both film theory and production, we work closely with clients to interpret and bring their ideas to life.
We have a broad range of experience creating engaging film material for business, councils, schools, artists and much more. Our hands-on approach and multi-disciplined team of camera operators, drone pilots, editors, and sound engineers give near unrivalled facilities to craft the best films for our clients.

Working with top-of-the-line 4K cinema cameras and up-to-date editing facilities ensures whatever device you view our work on - phone, computer or cinema screen - the film will look its best. In other words, that we offer truly cost effective and efficient film services.
As a business, Blatella Films has always been conscious of our possible environmental impact. Having grown up in the 90’s, climate change was a recurring topic of study and of course continues to be present in our lives with its increasing real-world effects.
Since its inception we have strived to make our business as green as possible. Whenever possible we upgrade our equipment to more efficient models. We have moved from incandescent lighting kits to LED ones, and from batteries that take 8+ hours to charge to ones that take a quarter of that time (and last far longer once charged, reducing the frequency needed to be on charge).
We also do not use any AI in our work for two main reasons. Firstly, AI models need to use existing art/intellectual property to train their neural networks, this is almost always without the original creator’s consent or knowledge. And even if consent is given, the products of the trained AI can be used indefinitely without proper, further compensation for the original creator.
Secondly, AI servers use an enormous amount of computing power to create their ‘work’ and therefore require vast amounts of water to cool the servers to stop them from over-heating. This causes a myriad of environmental problems including localised droughts and contributing to (global) climate change. We do however endorse its use in scientific and research industries as AI models have the potential to make major breakthroughs in areas such as diagnostic medicine.
At Blatella Films, we also consider ourselves a responsible business in how we deal with our clients and crews. We often undertake filming projects for clients that deal with incredible sensitive matters, and we always make sure that our crews are emotionally happy to be a part of it. We also make sure when working with someone for the first time that we are aware of any specific subjects they would be uncomfortable filming (i.e. phobias). Visa-versa we make sure any sensitive filming projects are handled with the appropriate tone by our crews.
Community work is an area of our business where we feel we can give back with the skills that we have at our disposal. Among the many charities we support, we sponsor Southend Pride, Thurrock Pride and Gold Geese Children’s Cancer Charity. These are grass roots organisations that align with our personal beliefs and do an incredible amount of good in our area and so by supporting them with donations of our time and skills we aim to support their continued work.
