I'm Brigit Douglas, a strategist and writer helping businesses get crystal clear about content and brand voice. In the process, we uncover your brand’s unmistakable 'accent'.
What does your brand need to say? Does it speak to now? What cultural circles does it enter, or drift past?
I specialise in the generative phase, when identity is in flux: you’re scaling, starting up, or stepping into a new era. I help your brand sound like who you’re becoming.
My work spans internal and external copy, social content, production scripts, ghostwriting, and more. But it always starts with a resonant voice.
I work closely with founders, visual creatives, and teams to shape content strategy, direct early-stage creative, and refine stories across multiple formats.
The future may seem visual, but listen to yourself reading this — you've already decided what matters, what chimes. If this speaks to you, I take 1:1 calls to explore how we might work together.
✎ Integrity and transparency are my core principles. They shape every layer of how my business operates and communicates. I regularly review my activities to ensure they align with my values, grounding internal decisions in careful consideration of people, the planet, and the wider impact of my work.
✯ Environment ✯
My environmental footprint is deliberately small. I travel by public transport, don’t fly, eat no meat, and commit to regular ‘no-buy’ months. I repair what I can and increasingly resist unnecessary purchases, keeping consumption mindful.
✯ Community & Marketplace ✯
Responsibility means caring for people at all degrees of separation. I take a people-first approach, building honest, respectful relationships with clients. Communication is always warm, human, and clear. I carefully manage information systems and set up frequent check-ins if desired. I choose to work with clients I connect with, and great work is built on that trust.
I prioritise small UK suppliers, especially fellow ORB members and partners, because where we spend our money matters. In so many ways, we vote with our wallets.
Recently, I’ve focused on giving back to the community where I now live and work. This includes volunteering days, supporting local charities and grassroots projects over national ones, and shopping small and local whenever possible.
✯ Values & Transparency ✯
As a Director of ORB, I see firsthand how powerful our shared purpose is. But staying responsible means revisiting and reflecting on what that truly means. Not once, but continually.
Being a responsible business is an evolving commitment. I integrate better actions wherever I can. Some are visible, some are subtle, but all are deliberate.
