NON-EXEC DIRECTOR | BUSINESS MENTOR | ADHD COACH
Consulting with Kerr specialises in systems, processes & information that create and maintain value for owners considering exits in a 3-to-5 year horizon.
ADHDbrain.Coach provides ADHD Coaching to individuals, either directly or funded by the employer, and neurodiversity consulting to businesses.
I'm a Chartered Accountant with a Corporate Finance & HR background. For more than 20 years I held senior financial and operational roles from global professional services firms to regional SMEs, before launching my own business in 2020.
I'm Autistic & ADHD which means my brain is wired differently. I'm at my best solving problems to a deadline. I love being a business adviser. I can absorb information, process it on the spot and create innovative solutions for my clients. But Autism & ADHD present challenges in the workplace, hence training as a Certified ADHD Life Coach so I can support fellow Neurodivergents
I'm a solo business owner and work mainly from home, so have minimised the impact of my travel. We have LED lights throughout the house to save energy and individually controlled thermostats on every radiator so I only heat the room I'm working in. I prepare lunch at home and don't use any paper cups or utensils.
I operate a paperless office wherever possible and on the odd occasion that I print something, I use draft and double-sided settings.
As a Neurodiversity advocate, I have given talks at a local school and a local cricket club around Neurodiversity, and I was filmed for a series called Hacking Neurodiversity, which was made freely available to be used as an educational resource for businesses, schools and individuals around Neurodiversity.
I'm a Business Mentor for Small Business Britain, I mentored on three cohorts of the Government's Help to Grow: Management programme. I'm a Growth Champion for the Local Enterprise Partnership and an Ambassador for Worthing and Adur Chamber of Commerce, where I also sit on the Training Group.
As a consultant and coach working mainly online, my key suppliers are all global software providers so I can't control those relationships. Where I have the opportunity to procure products and services locally, I do this and have a 'Virtual' Assistant, who lives 10 minutes away, graphic design done by a local business, printing done locally and IT support locally. All of these suppliers were met through the Chamber of Commerce. I always pay suppliers promptly.
