Entela Ltd | Helping organisations retain experienced, diverse leaders and managers during periods of life and career transitions

Entela Ltd

Company Profile

Companies with an executive team comprising over 30% women are significantly more likely to financially outperform their peers. Yet, a quarter of women don’t return from maternity leave, or resign within a year, and one in ten leave work due to menopause symptoms.

This drain of experienced talent is a commercial and operational challenge. When women leave, it is rarely due to lack of ambition; it is because the structural conditions were not there to support them to stay.

Entela is a specialist consultancy that exists to change that.

Bridging the gap between strategic governance and human-centric change, Entela, founded by Kim Croasdale, works with UK organisations to audit and design inclusive policies that drive retention and tackle the systemic roots of the gender pay gap. Alongside this corporate advisory work, Entela provides targeted executive coaching for women navigating critical life transitions, ensuring leadership continuity.

Our Social and Environmental Activities

Entela was founded on the principle that businesses must operate as a force for good. Although a newly established consultancy, rigorous social and environmental practices have been embedded into the company's operational architecture from day one.

Environmental Responsibility

Operating primarily as a remote, home-based consultancy significantly reduces the carbon footprint associated with daily commuting and physical office energy consumption. When travel is required for client workshops or site audits, it is undertaken via public transport or an electric vehicle. Entela’s operations are powered entirely by 100% renewable electricity through Octopus Energy. My medium-term objective is to invest in local wind cooperatives or home solar micro-generation to further decouple the business from fossil fuels.

Ethical Finance and Procurement

The financial infrastructure of a business is one of its most significant hidden climate impacts. Consequently, Entela’s banking, savings, and pension provisions are intentionally held with Starling, one example of a bank that strictly refuses to invest in fossil fuel extraction, arms manufacturing, or tobacco.

When purchasing software, services, or office supplies, priority is given to suppliers with transparent ESG credentials, ORB membership or certification, or B-Corp certifications, or those operating locally to support the UK small business economy.

Social Impact and Accessibility

Entela’s core mission is inherently socially driven: to dismantle the structural barriers that force women out of the workplace and to close the gender pay gap. Beyond paid commercial engagements, I actively prioritise partnerships with organisations dedicated to environmental and social governance (ESG).

To ensure this work is accessible, Entela provides a dedicated number of pro bono consulting projects annually for charities and purpose-driven organisations that lack the budget for strategic EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) consultancy. Additionally, I offer a limited number of partially or fully subsidised executive coaching programmes to women who are seeking career progression but face financial barriers to accessing professional development.

Community Engagement and Philanthropy

I am an active contributor to the local and national business community, holding memberships with the Local Enterprise Partnership (Enterprise Oxford).

Financially, Entela proudly supports charities whose missions align closely with my background in zoology, climate health, and female empowerment. This includes regular contributions to ClientEarth, leveraging the power of the law to combat the climate and nature crises, and Smart Works London, a charity providing unemployed women with the coaching, clothing, and confidence required to secure meaningful employment.

As Entela grows, these foundational commitments will scale alongside it, ensuring that operations continually reflect a deep respect for both people and the planet.
