We are a sustainable business, based in Worthing, West Sussex, producing small-batch seed balls & a range of other sustainable floral products. Sussex Seed Balls incorporates "Ashes to Blooms", our business producing seed balls using the ashes of clients' loved ones. We combine the ashes with wildflower seeds & other natural ingredients, to create bespoke seed balls. Clients then plant these in their garden, to enable them to grow their own, unique, wildflower memorial.
Our mission is to replace a range of items with ecological alternatives, to improve the sustainability of how we live. Ashes to Blooms provides customers with a sustainable alternative for the use of ashes, and encourages rewilding, as well as providing food for our pollinators.
We use sustainable equipment & supplies wherever possible, and make maximum use of local suppliers. We are also extremely careful to avoid waste, and to reuse & then recycle, wherever possible.
We aim to treat all stakeholders fairly, and to give back to our community.
We are proud to be working in collaboration with Highdown Gardens in Worthing, West Sussex, helping them to preserve this historic & utterly unique chalk garden, which has contributed much to the world's understanding of plants, including Snow Drops. Through our work with them, we hope to help to preserve this unique habitat for future generations.
We are also a member of the Association of Green Funeral Directions, and delighted to be part of the movement towards sustainable funerals & post-death rituals. Death will not cease to happen, but we can all take steps to ensure that our death has minimal negative impact on nature, and maximum positive impact.
